Dear Friends and Neighbors,
Thank you for taking the time to visit my website. I appreciate your interest in my campaign and look forward to meeting you and hearing
your concerns.
I am running for the State Senate because I understand how much residents of the Treasure Coast are hurting right now and believe I can make
a difference by representing your interests in Tallahassee.
Here is what I believe. I believe that Florida will recover from this economic crisis and be stronger than ever. I believe that the people
are in charge and government exists to serve, not to control. I believe our Legislature should make sure that banks and insurance companies
treat their customers fairly. I believe that we should be good stewards of the environment. After ensuring that public safety is properly
supported, funding of K-12 public education is my number one budget priority.
I know this community. I was born here. I was raised here. My family and I are proud to call the Treasure Coast
home.
I represented Martin, St. Lucie and Palm Beach Counties in the Florida House of Representatives for six years, from
2000 to 2006. I did more than just talk about fiscal conservatism; I walked the walk. I believe that just because we have money doesn't mean
we have to spend it all. As Appropriations Chairman in 2005 and 2006, I worked with Governor Jeb Bush to set aside and save more than
$8 billion in reserves, more than any other state. We also phased out the intangibles tax and preserved Florida's Triple-A bond rating.
I would be honored to have your vote to be the next State Senator from District 28. Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely yours,

Joe Negron |
